Who we are
Our website address is: https://lucyclairecurran.com.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
This site uses Contact Form 7. With the default configuration, this plugin, in itself, does not:
- track users by stealth;
- write any user personal data to the database;
- send any data to external servers;
- use cookies.
Please note that Akismet (a spam filter made by Automattic) is active on this site, and part of its functioning may include collecting the contact form submitter’s personal data, including their IP address, and sending it to the service provider. For more information on their specific Privacy Practices, click here.
Cookies
Please note, the plug-in “Cookie Consent” is active on this site, so you should be notified with a pop-up bar each time you are navigating through a section of the site that is using cookies.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics, which helps us determine the effectiveness of site design in reaching our target demographic. You can access Google’s privacy policy here.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
We use the following third-party service providers, who have their own data policies that govern their work. Please see below for each company’s individual Privacy Policy:
ActiveCampaign: Access their Privacy Policy here
Akismet: Access their Privacy Policy here.
Bluehost: Access their Privacy Policy here.
(Gmail and Analytics): Access their Privacy Policy here.
Paypal: Access their Privacy Policy here.
WP eStore: Access their Privacy Policy here.
How long we retain your data
We generally discard information about you when we no longer need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it–for example, if you are no longer an active client–so long as we are not legally obligated to keep it.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
We will never sell your data to any third party. We do, in the course of doing business, share some of your data with third party providers in order to provide you with services. Please be aware that each of these third-party service providers are governed by their own privacy and data policies.
Security measures
While no online service is 100% secure, we work hard to protect your information against unauthorized access or use, and take reasonable measures to do so. This includes monitoring our site and services for potential vulnerabilities and attacks.
If you have concerns about data privacy, please contact support@lucyclairecurran.com.
